Tara: Celtic meaning 'Hill', the site of the Irish Stone of Destiny & Sanskrit meaning 'Star'

'Tara'

This design is based on the gowns worn during the 12th Century. The gown features wide trailing sleeves, V-shaped neckline and a soft girdle belt. Tablet woven braids with geometrical patterns were often used as decorations on garments, but the 'Tara' gown features embroidered trims based on a 12th century stone carving design instead. This gown is inspired by the beautiful geometrical carvings at Durham Cathedral, the amazing round chapel at Ludlow Castle, the art of tablet weaving and the beautiful flowing lines of early medieval clothing. Gown is shown in no 46 Green Silk. Price : £ 1050 in any of the 80 shades of silk. (the higher price is due to the embroidered borders)
